How Energy Avenger™ Works

Once HID lighting units have warmed up, the Energy Avenger™ yields a power savings by altering the applied voltage to the lights. Unlike a standard lighting dimmer application, where voltage is reduced through a series-connected variable resistor, the Energy Avenger™ system uses sets of contactors and a Programmable Logic Controller to reduce voltage, thus reducing current.
